two story brown brick homeNow is the time to make that move from renter to home owner. The Austin market is one of the hottest in the nation and all indicators point to continued growth for the foreseeable future. Let’s face it, we all moved to this town because we believe in it, so why not own part of it. Rental rates have exploded over the past few years, this is because there are so many other people with the same great idea, get to Austin Now. This has sent the occupancy rates for rental properties up to 96% and more, which in turn has been driving the rental rates through the roof.

Buying your own home, whether it is a house or condo, is your best insulation  against these trends and can now offer the advantage of tax breaks, equity build up and who doesn’t want to be part of the appreciation Austin properties are enjoying. Property values in the Austin area have been on a steady up-tick, even during one of the toughest recessions America has faced. Some 70,000 people are moving to our fair city each year driving the prices ever upward, so the sooner you commit to this market the better off you will be.

One of the greatest things working in your advantage right now is the Mortgage Interest Rates. We are seeing some of the lowest rates in history right now and this could change at any moment, buyer’s confidence is up and the national outlook seems ready to bust out of the closet and with this will follow the interest rates. There is still time, but this is not limitless. I am just saying that this is the softest time of the year for the market and interest rates are ridiculously low, this all adds up to great opportunities that I find unlikely to be revisited.
